Time Corridor is an experimental AI-driven visual project that explores the transformation of contemporary architectural space into a poetic Chinese shanshui landscape. The work constructs a gradual spatial journey: beginning with a modern corridor, the environment slowly dissolves into fog, stone, caves, and eventually expansive mountain landscapes inspired by traditional Chinese painting.
The project investigates how generative AI can reinterpret spatial environments across different aesthetic and cultural contexts. Instead of producing a single image, the work builds a continuous visual transition where architecture evolves into nature and finally into a symbolic landscape.
The workflow combines several AI tools. Stable Diffusion (Automatic1111) was used to generate the early architectural scenes, while ComfyUI was used to create the later mountain landscapes with more controlled composition. These images were then transformed into animated sequences using Hailuo AI’s image-to-video system, which interpolates motion between start and end frames.
